Water is not flowing through the pump?

This is usually caused by air in the system which prevents the pump from working properly.  The most common reason is the lid on the leaf basket is loose or the O-ring is not sealing properly. Remove the lid, rinse the area around the seal with clean water and replace the lid (lightly lubricate the o-ring with a bit of cooking oil will make removing it next time easier).  While the lid is off you might as well clean the leaf basket.

Check that the leaf basket at the skimmer box is not clogged with leaves etc.  If so, clear the blockage.

If necessary, re-prime the pump by pouring a bucket of water into the leaf bowl, quickly replacing the lid then turning on the pump.
